PINE HILL FARM

Pine Hill Farm is owned and operated by Mike and Nancy Gorton.  Having both grown up on farms, Mike and Nancy wanted to provide the opportunity for not only their two daughters, but other young folks and adults alike, to experience what only those who have had the chance to have a horse in their lives expereince; to ride like the wind on the wings of the magnificant horse, to feel the nuzzle of this wonderful friend and partner.  The lessons about life one can learn from a horse are infinite.

Our Business

Pine Hill was founded in 1994. Our goal regarding our facility has always been to provide the best care and atmosphere humanly possible for the horses that live here and their owners that entrust them to our care. We have built a quality program and have the best barn staff available. The facility is state-of-the-art and its upkeep is key to our success.

Who We Are

Nancy Gorton is a CHA-AHSE certified riding instructor, currently competing through I1.  Nancy earned her USDF Bronze in 2007 and her USDF Silver in 2009. Nancy enjoys starting the young rider and is an advocate for early seat training. Nancy has been past DC for the North Acres Pony Club and Regional Supervisor for the Midwest Region Pony Club.  Nancy is a member of USEF and USDF and is the USDF Region 4 FEI Junior/Young Rider Coordinator, now her 4th year in this position.  Nancy has been the Chef d'equipe for both the Region 4 FEI Junior and the Region 4 FEI Young Rider Teams for the past three years.  In 2008 the Region 4 Junior Team won the Silver Medal at the NAJYRC in Parker, CO and these past two years are the first time in history that USDF Region 4 has fielded two full teams!

Jose Duran has been point-man at Pine Hill Farm for four years now.  He takes the utmost care of all the horses under his watch and notices everything.  Pine Hill Farm is blessed to have Jose.
